Michael Malamed, MD

Dr. Malamed grew up in Toronto, Canada and attended the University of Toronto for his Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree. He then went on to receive his medical degree at Tel Aviv University in 1993. Dr. Malamed completed his medical residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA followed by a fellowship in General Internal Medicine. He stayed on at UCLA as clinical faculty for 3 years before moving to a large group practice in Sherman Oaks, California where he also served as the Director of Continuing Medical Education, Chief of Medicine, and Chief of Staff at the local community hospital. In 2021 Dr. Malamed moved to Bend with his two sons to experience the beauty of Central Oregon and they have never looked back! Dr. Malamed is board certified in Internal Medicine and has over 28 years of clinical experience including large and small group practices as well as concierge medicine. Dr. Malamed believes in a personalized approach to each patient based on patient-centered care principles which include patient values and preferences, coordination and integration of care and information and education. In his free time, Dr. Malamed is usually exploring the great outdoors with his two sons and two energetic dogs.
